Massage Health Advice Massage is non-invasive, relaxing and natural. It is therefore generally considered a safe treatment for most people. However, to avoid not being able to continue with your appointment due to any contraindications, I would advise that if you are receiving treatment from your Doctor, Hospital or other Complementary Therapist, or if you suffer with any of the following conditions, it is advisable to seek their advice prior to treatment.
Consult your health professional if you are / have had / suffer from:
- Surgery – especially within the last 6 months
- A heart condition or suffer with high / low blood pressure
- Arthritis or a joint injury
- Asthma or Allergies
- Pregnant – I do not hold a qualification in pregnancy massage, I would recommend that you take the advice of your consultant and also seek a therapist qualified in this modality.
This list is not exhaustive so if in doubt please seek advice before booking an appointment
